This mattress is great for those users who are bed bound and have difficulty with positional changes for pressure relief. The Procair Alternating Pressure Air mattress was designed with high risk users at mind, with increased head to toe pressure relief for long periods of use. The mattress comes with a ‘safety cell’ to decrease the chance of bottoming out, side bolsters for increased support and stability with transfers, and a ‘heel zone’ with cells designed specifically to take pressure off the susceptible heel area. This mattress is also made with thermoplastic polyurethane for enhanced heat retention for improved warmth and comfort while in use. All these features make this mattress perfect for high risk, low mobility users.

The modular design helps individuals get as much use out of their mattress with as little maintenance as possible. An auto-fill feature prevents anyone from sinking into the mattress or deflating. Features such as side bolsters give individuals the boost they need to reposition and get in and out of the mattress as needed. This preserves their functional abilities while compensating for some residual weakness that may result from illnesses or injuries. Specialized divots help relieve even more pressure from the heels and lower legs to prevent bed sores and other complications resulting from sedentary activity.
