? No reinforcements, handles or padding
? Suitable for patients with poor trunk stability
? Gives extra support for the neck

The Silhouette Sling is a comfortable sling without reinforcements, handles or padding. It adapts to the
patients body to offer good support for the entire body. The sling can be used in most lifting situations but is especially suitable for transferring to and from wheel chairs, molded seats or seating shells.

The Silhouette Sling is offered in thin polyester net and Trevira fabric that both allow moisture and heat
to transfer efficiently from the patient. This allows the silhouette sling to be left in the chair or wheel chair after the transfer is completed.

Silhouette Sling

The Silhouette Sling is very similar to the Comfort sling in that it has no extra reinforcements such as the thigh divider so as to increase the user’s overall comfort. The moisture- and heat- resistant fabric gently conforms to the user’s body without adding extra pressure in specific spots. This sling has more material for a head support in order to better assist those with severely restricted trunk control and strength. One benefit that the Silhouette Sling has that the Comfort Sling does not is that the design opens up the hip angle so it doesn’t feel like the user is having their knees squashed into their abdomen. The only downside appears to be the extra fabric blocking the peripheral vision and the overall enclosure of the sling, which may not be suitable for users who are claustrophobic or who get very anxious when their vision is occluded.
