Drive Medical Easy Rider - almost perfect

Great looking unit and you'll get noticed. The biggest scooter around perhaps but it will load on a train or go through a supermarket. I use it on gravel roads and paths up here in the hills where I need the 14" wheels and it copes with steep slopes well. I use mine to get from my front door in my hills cottage up to the roadway on a winding gravel path I have to take care but manage well. Three wheelers are a bit less stable but a four wheeler would not get around the corners there. I fitted overpower 135aH batteries for extra range. Downside - The finish is poor in parts - the silver paint on the big front chassis rail peels off and the rear mudguards are white plastic with a black finish so if you scrape them (and you will - I have) it looks a bit rough - why not moulded black plastic right through? Often parts are not available locally so a major fault can be a slow fix. I blew the 30W LED headlamp globe and that does not seem to be available anywhere. I had to modify the headlamp housing to fit in a regular low power (50W) truck globe). The original part has a right angle connector and I had to squeeze in a regular straight connector. It's a rebrand of a Wu's Tech scooter made in Taiwan so it should not be so difficult to get spares.

Brilliant scooter and you'll certainly get some comments from bystanders. I use mine on gravel roads up here in the hills and then put it on the train to go anywhere. It copes very well with rough roads, gravel paths and steep slopes. I had a similar old Afikim three wheel sports type before this and it is better in many ways. Downside - it is large and you need a bit of extra room to manouevre. And heavy too. Though no problem putting it on the train or even riding around inside a supermarket. And the local importer will have no stock of spares so if something goes wrong you may wait a long time - I had to modify mine when the headlamp globe blew to take a regular truck LED globe - the odd original type seems unavailable anywhere. ((30W with a right angle connecter. I used a 50W - the lowest wattage i could find - and cut away part of the shroud to allow a standard straight connector) It's made in Taiwan by Wu's Tech and rebranded so it shouldn't be so hard to get such a simple and basic if oddball part from them. I also managed to fit oversize 135aH batteries for extra range. Make sure that the batteries you buy are suitable - I bought a couple of 100's advertised for RV use off ebay and they turned out to be dodgy underweight rubbish - failed in a couple of months.
