The ultra-compact indoor / outdoor Powerchair

QUICKIE Q200 R uses an innovative testing method called SMART base technology. This helped us to understand how geometry changes to a drive base can affect performance, creating a precision-measured TRUE indoor/outdoor powerchair.

From SMART base development the Q200 R powerchair boasts a small footprint of 580 mm wide and 1070 mm long (42.1″), with a 1700 mm (66.9″) turning circle, so navigating even the tightest of spaces is a breeze.

Going out? The QUICKIE Q200 R is a step up from the Q100 R in terms of outdoor performance. The Q200 provides greater stability to prevent tipping and is ideal for the taller and larger user, with a max weight of 136kg. Using the Q200 R it’s no uphill struggle, with its larger castor wheels it can tackle any open-air terrain. The Q200 R provides excellent outdoor performance as it easily manoeuvres through uneven and hilly territory with the ability to tackle hills of up to 8 degrees.

Unbelievably light at 98 kg with a fold down back, the Q200 R is also easy to hoist in and out of your car.

Get expressive with colour

The Q200 R features a streamlined, minimalistic design contrasted with sleek, black bodywork. Make it personal with a seating system designed to fit you and a selection of four vibrant colour inlays and decals.

Smart Base Technology

All indoor/outdoor powered wheelchairs face the same problem… SMART BASE Technology is how QUICKIE solved it.

Our vision was to create a TRUE indoor/outdoor powerchair with super-tight indoor manoeuvrability and no compromises on outdoor stability and performance.

But how do you design such a finely-balanced powerchair?

A large drive-base means difficulty when manoeuvring in tight environments. Too small and it becomes tippy with a loss of traction. With SMART Base Technology we were able to test 100‘s of configurations to find the perfect combination.

The result is the QUICKIE SALSA Q200 R. A legitimately compact entry-level powerchair that delivers the very-best traction, stability and even the ability to climb kerbs of up to 100 mm (4“). The same revolutionary technology is available on the Quckie Q100R.

The small powerchair that’s big on going out

Popping out? The SALSA Q200 R is just as at home inside and out. Painstakingly researched, its compact dimensions provide highly-deceptive traction and stability over a variety of terrains, hills and even when tackling kerbs. With a longer length of 1070mm (42.1″), 580mm width and sporting bigger 14” drive wheels and 9” castors, the Salsa Q200 R provides greater stability and traction than its little brother. It’s rugged exterior and extra-muscle comes in useful when riding over uneven terrain.

Designed to be in your space

The Salsa Q200 R is in touch with its environment inside and outside. With larger castor wheels compared to the Q100 R, it’s able to tackle rough and uneven terrain in the big outdoors. The Q200 is also designed to be in your home space, with a weight of 98Kg and a fully fold-down back and removable leg rests and arms, the Q200 can easily be hoisted and packed snug in any vehicle or stored at home. Larger Castor Wheels, Ultra-compact, Compact turning and Easy transfers.

So Narrow Minded
Fed up of clipping the side of your powered wheelchair or scratching the paint work when squeezing through a tight doorway? The Q200 R‘s ultra-slim base width of 580 mm (22.8″) can go where other indoor/outdoor powerchairs won‘t fit – so even negotiating narrow paths or packed tables at your favourite cafe will be a breeze.

Go where other powerchairs can’t
Precision-measured in length, at just 1070 mm long (42.1″), the Q200 R will conveniently fit in-and-out of through floor lifts and other short spaces without the traditional sacrifice of stability.

Turn wherever you go
Get out of any tight-spots with the Q200 R and its ultra-compact turning circle of 1700mm (66.9″). Effortlessly turn in narrow hallways, kitchens and other restricted spaces without the need for complicated manoeuvres.

Access all areas
The legrests and controller can also swing outwards, so the Q200 R can get even closer to objects like tables and chairs for an easier transfer in-or-out of your powerchair.

Sit back and relax
The SALSA Q200 R‘s seating has been designed to fit you. With plenty of settings and a 5-strap tension adjustable back to meet postural requirements, take comfort in knowing that if your needs change, so can your seat.

Q200 Rear wheel

Just like Q100, this model is also based on innovative testing method known as SMART Base technology. The makers have adjusted the base and redesigned the structure of a typical mobility chair to create an ultimate high performance power chair. Available in four trendy colours to choose from, its seating package is very appealing because of multiple adjustment options. Despite being lighter in weight than Q100, Q200 has increased efficiency and higher working load capacity (136 kg). Once the battery is fully charged, it can take even a heavier user to a continuous journey of 19 miles (31 km). I really like the kerb climbing ability of this chair, moreover, it can very safely climb a slope of up to 8 degrees. This feature gives Q200 a priority for outdoor navigation over other power chairs. I would highly recommend Q200 to anyone looking for a powerchair with tight indoor movability and also makes no compromises on outdoor steadiness and performance.
